  • Brymore Ice Cream Valley (4 miles from Masham) Over 30 types of yummy Brymor ice cream can be found here. Made on site from the milk of pedigree Guernsey cows that graze on the farm. Can’t be found ‘down south’ therefore get your fix whist in Yorkshire. For more information, click here.
  • Lightwater Valley (5 miles from Masham) If you’ve never been to Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington world of adventures, or anywhere in America, then this is a great theme park. For more information, click here.
  • Wensleydale Cheese Visitor Centre, Hawes (26 miles from Masham) Watch the cheese being made and sample all the different varieties in the shop – just make sure Angela won’t be visiting that day – as there may be no samples left! For more information, click here.
  • Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal (12 miles from Masham) Beautiful estate, abbey ruins and a place that will always be remembered for school history projects! Don’t be put off though, this is a lovely place. For more information, click here.
  • Ripley Castle (15 miles from Masham) A beautiful castle where we considered holding our reception until we drove a wee bit further North and discovered Swinton Park. For more information, click here.
  • Wensleydale Railway A railway . . . in Wensleydale.  They have steam-hauled trains every day between 15 August and 7 September. For more information, click here.
  • Aerial Extreme (8 miles from Masham) Evidently it’s “a unique, fun packed high ropes experience on the worlds most awesome Adventure Ropes course”. For more information, click here.
  • Mother shiptons cave (20 miles from Masham) including “The Petrifying Well” with magical cascading waters that turn items into stone. For more information, click here.
